Users, Roles, Resources Cartography - Repositories

Implementing an IAM solution will lead to formalized and automated access entitlements procedures. In this perspective, a map of users rights and a full description of those rights will be necessary. Most of the time, it will be easier to get there through the analysis of the cartography of the user’s rights current system and the resources they use and adjustments can then lead to the final plan.

As the scheme shows it below, the cartography must consider multiple elements. Through that scheme, “Business profiles”, “Roles” and the attached resources are defined. These new repositories will become the base of rights entitlement.
